Much ado about Mull…

This year we have had a number of bookings in the Oban & Mull sea area. For the most part the weather has been excellent and we have managed a circumnavigation of Mull on each trip.

These cruises usually include a stop at colourful Tobermory, round the north coast of Mull to Lunga to see the delightful puffins and then onto Staffa to take in the majesty of Fingal’s cave.

A stop on Iona is always popular before we head around to the Ross of Mull and an anchorage in one of several beautiful bays. This coast often allows us to enjoy pods of dolphins playing around Red Moon’s hull.

A nights stop in Loch Spelve or Loch Don is often followed by a visit to Bernera island for an explore ashore at the ruined Bishops Palace. A cruise by iconic Castle Stalker , the lovely settlement at Appin allows us a final evening in lovely Airds Bay – a good spot for a sunset if conditions allow.

By the end of May were on our way home to Skye….
